2022 - 2023
FIRST Global Speaker Series
Mark X Robotics FTC #16272 was selected to be apart of the FIRST STEM Corp for the 2022 - 2023 FIRST Global Challenge (FGC). The team mentored team Bhutan and team Gambia this past summer helping them with mechanical design, applied mathematics and physics, Java programming concepts, and game strategy. The team traveled to Geneva, Switzerland to support their mentee teams. We realized that the exposure to FGC was limited compared to FTC and FRC so we decided to create a speaker series to spread awareness of this incredible program that fosters international connections and helps bring the next generation of engineers to the same platform. This years panels included Caitlin Creech the Volunteer Director at FIRST Global, Team Peru, Team Mexico, and Team Bhutan to speak about their experiences.

FIRST Global STEM Corps
The FIRST Global Competition returned to Geneva, Switzerland. Mark X Robotics was selected to be a Global STEM Corps Volunteer for team Gambia and team Bhutan for the 2022 Competition. The advisor team for Bhutan was lead by Arnav Damle and supported by Tanvi Deshmukh, Sana Sachdeva, Mahek Mehta, and Aditya Kotha. Team Bhutan's robot was taken apart at Customs during their travel, so Arnav worked two days straight with the team to put the robot back together ending the weekend. The advisor team for Gambia was lead by Adarsh Goura and supported by Mihika Patki, Aayush Desai, and Arya Agashe. Adarsh taught the team how to program PID controllers to enhance robot gameplay and control.
